Our Story

Soomi was born from a deeply personal place. Founded by Trisha Young-Yu and RR Pineda, the brand began with one simple question: Why is it so hard to find clothes that make new moms feel good?

As a new mother, Trisha struggled with the everyday challenge of dressing for a body—and a life—that was constantly changing. She wanted to feel confident, presentable, and herself. But most maternity wear made her feel the opposite: tired, hidden, and uninspired.

Together with RR, she set out to create a line that honored motherhood in its many forms—pregnancy, breastfeeding, and beyond—without sacrificing style or comfort.

Soomi designs are guided by three essentials: style, comfort, and functionality. Each piece is thoughtfully made to adapt with you through pregnancy, seamlessly transition into breastfeeding, and remain timelessly wearable even after. Even if you're not nursing, Soomi’s silhouettes are made to flatter and empower.
